Working with Virginia

I help discerning individuals live pain-free lives in connected, comfortable bodies nourished by touch, so they can bring their full focus and intention to their passions. I build nurturing relationships with my clients that go above and beyond, with exquisitely sensitive, anatomically precise bodywork, cupping therapy, and client education on self-care practices.

I draw from many techniques, including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, Advanced Myofascial Technique, Cupping Therapy, Vedic Thai Bodywork, and Gua Sha (a.k.a. scraping, Graston, or instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)). There is no need for you to choose between modalities; I bring all of my tools and expertise to each and every session.

We'll sit down together when you arrive to review your health history and discuss what to work on in our session. We'll also speak for several minutes afterwards, to review our session and discuss how to move forward. At that time I’ll offer some personalized strategies to enhance your self-care between appointments.

I look forward to helping you enjoy living in your body — you deserve it!

I see clients on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, Friday afternoons, and on Saturdays.

"Virginia is a healer. I've suffered from chronic back and shoulder pain. She has taken a holistic approach to easing my pain and re-aligning my body. She has offered suggestion outside the massage space such as stretches and soaks that has significantly improved my pain and mobility. She truly offers therapeutic massage."

Anthony Koehl

"Excellent! Deep pressure, slow pace, VERY intutitve. I can tell she listens to the body and slows down when encountering dense tissue. Great instincts. Her intention and concentration can be felt. Wonderful work!"

Ralph Casciato
Licensed Massage Therapist

"I am a person who believes in self care. I know that if I am going to wear the various hats and lead an active life, I need to be healthy, grounded, and recharged. Bodywork is vital to my health, my ability to do my job with grace and ease, and my overall wellbeing. Today, I gifted myself a massage by Virginia Batson. If you are looking for a massage therapist who listens to concerns, tailors each appointment to client needs, knows how to come at an issue using more than one modality,  and offers tips for you to stretch and continue to be well in your body, please do check her out. She worked wonders for my hips today. What a blessing. Thank you, thank you, thank you."
